Team Meet Ups

The joy of the sunshine throughout June reflected the spirits of the team, and what better opportunity to soak up some much needed vitamin D than with some alfresco meetings. We also finally, after 15 very long months, managed to get most of the team together for an activity at The Escape Rooms and dinner. What a treat it was! I am pleased to confirm that we did all escape from our designated rooms, some a little faster than others. For most of us it was the first time we were able to meet Sunny (one of our developers) – which felt crazy given that he’s been with us for 6 months.

Welcome to the Team

We are also delighted to welcome Caroline Price and Jessica Boyce to the Stream team who have both joined us over the past two weeks. Caroline joins us from the telecommunications industry where she has a wealth of experience from early concepts through to full development of projects. Her passion for work and seeing the impact it has on user experience has already impressed us – we can’t wait to see the ideas and concepts she’ll bring to the table. Jessica, still in her first week, joins the account team as an Account Manager and will be managing some of our newer international projects. With a wealth of client services experience  from a range of industries (from automotive to travel to security and consumer research) we look forward to seeing how she develops some of our newest loyalty programmes for clients. She also has a keen interest in behavioural economics – her enthusiasm for the subject was evident from our first conversation and we already have ideas on how we can bring some of her knowledge into our existing projects. It’s great to have both Caroline and Jess on board – we are very proud to be surfacing out of the covid fog in a position where we are in fact able to grow the team both in numbers and through professional development.

#WednesdayWisdom

Our Wednesday Wisdom sessions are always a great hit with the team – recently Sunny talked us through how to best optimise iText to support our current programmes and other areas of our business. We already have plans in place for its use in generating downloadable PDFs from web content and got some great recommendations from the team for other uses. These sessions not only give the team to opportunity to share information amongst each other that we would otherwise not have been privy to but, more often that not, they lead to conversations and provoke ideas that are shared across the business. I certainly learn something new each week and look forward to discovering what the week’s topic is and who is leading the session. Our social channels provide a round up of these sessions; if you ever want to find out more we’d love to share what we do with you too.

A focus for the team over the next couple of months is training and development – we have some great training opportunities for the team in new areas and technologies which they will no doubt start to talk about with you all as and when they complete them.

It’s full-steam ahead for a number of projects over the next couple of months with the development team extremely busy on new implementations and some great work in the mix for existing programmes with new features, gamification and data integration happening.

We were pleased to hear the announcement this week and look forward to opening up the office properly and getting back to more in-face meeting.
